TimeSolv also has a rolling lockout period that you can establish. Using this, you could allow time and expense entries for just the last 5 days and 1 day into the future for planning. You (and your timekeepers) could also run the Missing Time Report to see what hours are missing from a given day if you have a set hours requirement.
I lock out the time entries every Friday at 5 PM and advised all staff members that they will not be able to add anything after.
You go to Time --> Settings --> Time Entry Lockout --> select "Allow entries on or after" and select the date. So every Friday at 5 I go in, change it to the Saturday and all previous dates are officially locked out.
