It would be really helpful if I could view/print a complete billing summary for a particular file. This would include every time and expense entry as it appears on the invoice, but altogether instead of split into different invoices. Sometimes we need the total history for a client and it's a pain to print out individual invoices and add up the fees and expenses manually.

You could go run Time and Expense Entry reports for the matter for the entire period. There you are able to select a Status of Billed and view the entries by Current values (as opposed to Original, in case of write-ups or write-downs).
All of our reports can be formatted in different options. The default is PDF, but you can select other formats such as Word. I like the CSV (comma separated values) that I can bring cleanly into Excel. There I can join reports, filter, sort, pivot table, vlookup, etc. Whatever your Excel skill set, you can apply to our reports. Here is a link to Microsoft's training on pivot tables and vlookup.
