It is useful to see at a glance how much time i have billed in a day, and also to see how much time i have worked on non-billable matters. Currently there is only 1 number displayed, that combines the two. It would be great to either display the two numbers separately, or to allow user to use settings to display just billable, etc.

Great, thanks! Looks like this has to occur in the admin account. The addition of the hover-over summary is a huge help too.
This feature is now available. You can configure the calendar to display only billable hours for a certain timekeeper by setting Show on Calendar to 'Billable Only' under Timekeeper Permissions:
