Allow comma in payment amount through client portal

I had a client try to pay a trust deposit through their client portal. They got an error message saying "amount is less than minimum value." They said they had typed in dollar amount and cents using a comma to separate the thousands and a period to separate the cents. When they retried without the comma, the payment processed without trouble. Possible solutions would be to allow payment of amounts above $999.99 to optionally use a comma (so either $1,000.00 or $1000.00 would work) or include a statement somewhere on the payment page to not use a comma as a separator.
