Allocate courtesy discounts (credit memos) on projects or matters to a specific employee

We have certain situations where we get a project, have a team on it, and the client asks us for a discount because the work we did, didn't quite make a difference or wasn't required. Rather than penalize the entire team for this, is there a way to allocate whatever discount we have to give to the client to a specific individual?
