Have drop down list values on custom fields auto-alphabetize as new values are added

Being able to create custom dropdown fields is helpful. With most drop downs, after the field is setup, new values will continue to be added. Currently, when new values are added, they add at the bottom of the list. This makes going through the list to find what you need inefficient. If the dropdown value field could be set to auto-alphabetize new values - the list would be more efficient. Or, if you don't want every dropdown list to auto-alphabetize, it would be helpful to be to choose "alphabetize all values" when you create the field.
