I would like an automated way for emails to go to clients with outstanding invoices- we should be able to pick how many days old- i.e if over 30 days, 60 days etc. and have the emails sent to remind them to pay
While I appreciate the effort, the execution of this new feature does not feel well thought out and it is completely useless for our law firm to use as it currently functions.
Issue #1 - When issuing a consolidated invoice, the payment reminder emails come through as one email per matter. So, our clients that have 20+ consolidated matters would receive 20+ emails that all reference a different amount to pay for the same invoice number. This is very confusing. It should be one email per open invoice. Consolidated invoices are billed out as one email, so the auto-reminder should also be one email.
Issue #2 - There is no payment link, invoice copy, or even firm letterhead. The emails look like spam. And since this is an automated feature, our billing email address is also not included. This means if someone responds back to the email asking for the payment link or invoice copy, the response will go to mailer@timesolv.com and never be answered.
Issue #3 - When I was testing this new feature, I discovered that the auto-reminder email kept releasing to the billing contacts that were active at the time of invoice generation. If I implement a change in billing contact, the new party is not included in the auto-reminder (old party still gets emailed). I would have to void and re-issue every open invoice every time a billing contact changes to ensure the new party is being emailed instead of the old party. Since our field of legal work has frequent billing contact changes, this will never be manageable.
